Myrmosidae is a small of approximately 10 and 100 worldwide, often treated as a (Myrmosinae) within Mutillidae in older classifications. Myrmosula is one of the more species-rich genera in this group. The family is characterized by reduced wing venation in males and the complete absence of wings in females, which are often mistaken for ants or mutillid .
