Xysma ceanothae is a of aphid wasp in the Crabronidae, Pemphredoninae. The specific epithet 'ceanothae' suggests an association with plants of the Ceanothus. Like other members of the tribe Pemphredonini, it is presumed to be a solitary that provisions nests with aphids (Aphididae) as food for its larvae. The species was described by Viereck in 1904 and is currently accepted as valid.
