Species composition

The includes four described : Slaterobius chisos (described 1993), Slaterobius insignis (originally described by Uhler in 1872), Slaterobius nigritus (described 1993), and Slaterobius quadristriatus (originally described by Barber in 1911). Two species were transferred from other genera (Eremocoris and Pachybrachius respectively).

Taxonomic placement

Slaterobius is placed in the tribe Myodochini, which contains numerous of small to -sized ground . The genus was erected to accommodate previously placed in Eremocoris and related genera that showed distinct morphological features.
