Baldulus is a of leafhoppers in the Cicadellidae, tribe Macrostelini, established by Oman in 1934. The genus has been studied for its escape jumping in response to visual and mechanical stimuli, with research comparing its performance to the related genus Dalbulus. As a member of the Deltocephalinae , it belongs to one of the largest and most diverse groups of leafhoppers.
