Acinopterus is a of leafhoppers in the Cicadellidae, containing more than 30 described . It serves as the type genus of the tribe Acinopterini. The genus is widely distributed across North and South America. At least one species, Acinopterus angulatus, has been documented feeding on plants in the family Chenopodiaceae.
