Mochlonyx

Mochlonyx is a of phantom midges in the Chaoboridae. The genus was established by Loew in 1844 and contains at least two described : Mochlonyx cinctipes and Mochlonyx fuliginosus. These flies are found in temperate regions of Europe and North America. The genus is part of the diverse of non-biting midges that inhabit freshwater systems.
