Stenoscinis is a of frit flies in the Chloropidae, established by Malloch in 1918. The genus contains at least two described : Stenoscinis adachiae and Stenoscinis longipes. Members of this genus are small flies belonging to a family commonly known as grass flies or frit flies.

Taxonomic history

The was described by Malloch in 1918. Stenoscinis longipes was originally described as Chlorops longipes by Loew in 1863 before being transferred to this genus. Stenoscinis adachiae was described by Sabrosky in 1961.

Species list

Two are currently recognized: Stenoscinis adachiae Sabrosky, 1961 and Stenoscinis longipes (Loew, 1863).
