Astrophanes is a of bee flies ( Bombyliidae) established by Osten Sacken in 1886. The genus contains two described : Astrophanes adonis and Astrophanes andinus. As members of the Anthracinae and tribe Villini, these flies are in their larval stage. The genus is rarely encountered, with limited observational records.
