Leichenina is a subtribe of darkling beetles ( Tenebrionidae) within the tribe Pedinini. Members are small to medium-sized beetles with the characteristic compact, often cylindrical body form typical of many Tenebrionidae. The subtribe was established by Mulsant in 1854 and contains several distributed primarily in the Old World. These beetles are generally associated with arid and semi-arid environments.
