Trigonurinae is a monogeneric of rove beetles (Staphylinidae) containing only the Trigonurus. The group has a Holarctic distribution with approximately nine described . Most species occur in North America (seven species), with two in the western Palaearctic and two in China. The subfamily was established by Reiche in 1866.

Taxonomic notes

The is monogeneric, containing only Trigonurus Mulsant, 1847. The was revised by Blackwelder (1941). Two from China were described relatively recently (Kishimoto, 2000; Schülke, 2006; Schülke & Smetana, 2015).
