Identification
Members of Thoracophorini can be distinguished from other Osoriinae tribes by their unmargined pronota—the lateral edges of the pronotum lack raised or defined margins. This contrasts with margined rove beetles where distinct pronotal margins are present. Further identification to or level requires examination of mouthpart structures and genitalia.
