It has been recorded across a broad geographic range spanning North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and parts of South America. Native range includes Canada (Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec), the United States (41 states including California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire, and South Carolina), the Bahamas (Andros), Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Guatemala, and Mexico.
