Lacon auroratus is a of click beetle in the Elateridae. It is native to eastern and central Canada, with records from six provinces. The species was described by Thomas Say in 1839. Like other elaterids, it possesses a prosternal process that enables the characteristic clicking or jumping mechanism used to right itself when overturned.
