Hypocoprus is a of small beetles in the Cryptophagidae (silken fungus beetles), established by Motschulsky in 1839. The genus belongs to the tribe Hypocoprini within the Atomariinae. Two are recognized: Hypocoprus latridioides and Hypocoprus tenuis. These beetles are found in Europe and North America.
