Diachus auratus, commonly known as the bronze , is a case-bearing leaf beetle in the Chrysomelidae. The exhibits a remarkably broad geographic distribution spanning multiple continents including Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, North America, Oceania, South America, and Southern Asia. As a member of the Cryptocephalinae , it shares the characteristic protective case-bearing of its relatives. The species was originally described by Fabricius in 1801 under the basionym Cryptocephalus auratus.
