Anisostena is a of hispine leaf beetles in the Chrysomelidae, containing at least 30 described . These beetles are characterized by their flattened, often spiny body form typical of the hispine Cassidinae. The genus was established by Weise in 1910 and occurs in the New World tropics and subtropics.
