Dryops is a of long-toed water beetles in the Dryopidae, with at least 20 described and a worldwide distribution. The genus is particularly diverse in the Palaearctic region, where 34 species have been recorded. Members of this genus are aquatic beetles associated with freshwater . Species such as Dryops rufipes and Dryops renateae have been documented from Turkey and Tajikistan respectively.
