Stereocerus is a of ground beetles in the Carabidae, established by Kirby in 1837. The genus contains two recognized : Stereocerus haematopus (Dejean, 1831) and Stereocerus rubripes (Motschulsky, 1860). It belongs to the Pterostichinae and tribe Pterostichini, a diverse group of carabid beetles often associated with forested .
