Maaykuyak is a of scorpions in the Vaejovidae, established in 2013. The genus contains two recognized : Maaykuyak vittatus and Maaykuyak waueri. Members of this genus are found in arid and semi-arid regions of Mexico and Texas, United States. The genus was erected based on morphological and molecular phylogenetic analyses that distinguished it from related vaejovid genera.
