Aphonopelma armada is a of tarantula in the Theraphosidae, to Texas in the United States. It is commonly known as the Texas Black Spot Tarantula. Like other members of the Aphonopelma, it is a large-bodied, ground-dwelling that constructs burrows. The species was originally described as Dugesiella armada by Chamberlin in 1940 before being transferred to Aphonopelma.
