Oedoparena glauca
A coastal fly in the family Dryomyzidae, Oedoparena glauca is notable as the only known dipteran predator of barnacles. Its life cycle is tightly linked to intertidal barnacle beds, with larvae developing inside and consuming multiple barnacle hosts before pupating in empty shells.
