Thrincopyge ambiens
Thrincopyge ambiens is a metallic wood-boring beetle in the family Buprestidae, first described by LeConte in 1854. The species is found in Central America and North America. Like other members of the genus Thrincopyge, adults are associated with sotol plants (Dasylirion species), where they wedge themselves at the base of the rosette and larvae develop within dried flowering stalks.
