Caurinus tlagu is a minute scorpionfly in the family Boreidae, described in 2013 from Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. It is the second known species in the genus Caurinus, a relict group whose fossil record extends to the Jurassic period over 145 million years ago. The species has been proposed as potentially illuminating the evolutionary origins of fleas due to its morphological similarities and phylogenetic position.

Cleptes rufigaster is a species of cuckoo wasp in the family Chrysididae. The genus Cleptes comprises parasitoid wasps known for their metallic coloration and distinctive nesting habits. Members of this genus are parasitoids of sawfly prepupae. The species was described from China as part of a 2013 revision that recognized seventeen Cleptes species from the country, nine of which were new to science.

Polyergus vinosus is a species of slave-making ant in the genus Polyergus, described in 2013 as part of a global revision of the genus. It belongs to the rufescens group, informally known as the breviceps complex, and is one of five new species described in that revision. Like all Polyergus species, it is an obligatory social parasite that relies on host colonies of Formica ants for survival, as it cannot feed itself or excavate nests.
