Eurytoma gigantea
Eurytoma gigantea is a specialist parasitoid wasp in the family Eurytomidae. It is known to parasitize the tephritid gallmaker Eurosta solidaginis, which forms galls on goldenrod (Solidago). The species has been studied for the relationship between host gall size and oviposition success, with field observations showing higher parasitism rates in smaller galls.
