Aphanistes rheumapterae is a species of ichneumon wasp described by Dasch in 1984. The specific epithet "rheumapterae" indicates a parasitoid association with moths in the genus Rheumaptera (Geometridae). Like other members of the genus Aphanistes, it is presumed to be a koinobiont endoparasitoid, though direct biological studies are limited.
