Norvellina texana is a species of leafhopper in the family Cicadellidae, described by Ball in 1907. The specific epithet 'texana' indicates its association with Texas, which is also its documented geographic range. As a member of the tribe Platymetopiini, it belongs to a group of leafhoppers characterized by particular morphological features of the head and wing venation.
