Malirekus is a of springflies ( Perlodidae) in the order Plecoptera. The genus was established by Ricker in 1952 and contains at least two described : Malirekus hastatus (brook springfly) and Malirekus iroquois (Iroquois springfly). These stoneflies are part of the Perlodinae and tribe Perlodini.
