Shotwellia is a of band-winged grasshoppers in the Acrididae. The sole described , Shotwellia isleta, is a rare North American grasshopper known from limited locations in the Chihuahuan Desert. It has historically been difficult to classify phylogenetically due to its unique morphological characteristics. The genus is currently placed within the Chortophaga genus group based on molecular and morphological evidence.
