Adoneta is a of in the Limacodidae, erected by James Brackenridge Clemens in 1860. The genus contains at least four described , including the long-horned slug moth (A. bicaudata) and the purple-crested slug moth (A. spinuloides). All members are slug caterpillar moths, named for the distinctive locomotion of their larvae.
