Apotomis removana

(Kearfott, 1907)

Green Aspen Leafroller

Apotomis removana is a Nearctic tortricid in the tribe Olethreutini. The was originally described as Olethreutes removana by Kearfott in 1907, with Apotomis dextrana later synonymized under it. It is commonly known as the Green Aspen Leafroller, suggesting an association with aspen (Populus) foliage. The species is documented from the Canadian prairie provinces and Vermont. A taxonomic revision of Nearctic Apotomis provided formal descriptions and illustrations of genitalia and wing patterns.
