Loxostegopsis is a of small in the Crambidae, Spilomelinae. The genus was established by Harrison Gray Dyar in 1917 and contains six described distributed in North America. Most species were described by Barnes and McDunnough in 1918. The genus is relatively well-documented on iNaturalist with over 3,300 observations, suggesting active that are encountered with some frequency.
