Polygrammodes is a of crambid in the Spilomelinae, established by Guenée in 1854. The genus contains approximately 80 described distributed primarily across the Americas, with highest diversity in the Neotropics. Species exhibit considerable variation in wing pattern and coloration, ranging from pale yellow to deep purple and brown tones. The genus has been subject to taxonomic revision by Munroe (1958–1960), who clarified many species boundaries.

Distribution

Widespread in the Americas, with greatest in the Neotropical region (Central and South America). Records extend from the southern United States through Mexico and Central America to South America, including the Andes and Amazon basin. Some occur in the Caribbean.
