Taxonomic Note

Glutophrissa is sometimes treated as a subgenus of Appias. The iNaturalist summary incorrectly conflates Glutophrissa with Appias, stating that Appias is 'commonly called puffins or albatrosses'—this appears to be erroneous text, as Appias butterflies are not known by these names (which are seabird terms). The Glutophrissa is accepted as valid in Catalogue of Life and GBIF.
