Ganyra howarthi is a medium-sized pierid to the Sonoran Desert region. have white wings with distinctive black marginal markings, with females showing more diffuse and extensive spotting than males. The occupies a restricted range along coastal and near-coastal areas of northwestern Mexico and extreme southern Arizona.

Identification

Wings white above with black wedges and outer margin markings on forewing, plus a black spot. Females distinguished by diffuse markings and additional postmedian black spots not present in males. Wingspan 45–48 mm. Similar to other Ganyra whites but restricted to thorn forest and desert scrub of the Sonoran region.
