Species diversity

The contains at least seven described : Perichares furcata, P. haworthiana, P. manu, P. metallica, P. philetes, P. romeroi, and P. vulpina. Two species were described as recently as 2004 (P. manu and P. romeroi), suggesting ongoing taxonomic work in this group.
