Orthonama is a of geometer moths in the Geometridae, Larentiinae, and tribe Xanthorhoini. The genus was established by Jacob Hübner in 1825. The taxonomic status of Nycterosea remains unresolved; it is often treated as a synonym but may represent a distinct genus. within Orthonama include the gem (Orthonama obstipata) and the oblique carpet (Orthonama vittata).
