Animomyia smithii is a geometrid in the Geometridae, first described by Pearsall in 1910. The is found in North America and is assigned the MONA (Moth Photographers Group) or Hodges number 6788. It belongs to the Ennominae and has three recognized : A. s. magna, A. s. nigris, and the nominate A. s. smithii.
