Gnophos is a of geometer moths comprising approximately 120 described , primarily distributed across the Palearctic region with some North American representatives. The genus serves as the type genus for the tribe Gnophini within Ennominae. is organized into several recognized subgenera, with new species continuing to be described. In Europe, six species have been recorded.
