Aethalura intertexta, commonly known as the four-barred gray or smoky carpet , is a geometrid moth first described by Francis Walker in 1860. It belongs to the Geometridae, one of the largest families of moths. The species is native to North America and includes two recognized : A. i. intertexta and A. i. fumata. Like other carpet moths, likely have the characteristic broad, somewhat flattened wings typical of the group.
