Telphusa fasciella

Telphusa fasciella is a small in the Gelechiidae. It is known from a limited number of records in the eastern United States. The is characterized by distinctive wing patterning with multiple dark spots and a narrow white fascia on the forewings.

Identification
Forewings pale grey with small dark brown spots arranged in a characteristic pattern: one near the margin at the base, another on the costal margin behind the first, a third within the dorsal margin at about the middle with a small adjacent spot on the disc, and a larger spot near the end of the disc with a small costal spot nearby. A narrow angulated white fascia is present just behind the latter spot, though indistinct in the middle. Raised patches present: at the basal fourth of the wing within the costal margin, another behind it near the dorsal margin, a third further back near the costal margin, and a row within the dorsal margin. Small tuft of ochreous scales on each side of the thoracic apex.

United States: recorded from Kentucky and Maine.
