Identification
Distinguished from similar Filatima by the combination of two black discal blotches on the forewing—the first transverse-oval (sometimes divided) before the middle, the second inverted-triangular at the end—along with subcostal and basal marks. The small white costal spot at three-fourths, when present, provides additional confirmation.
Appearance
Wingspan 17–18 mm. Forewings whitish-grey to grey with slight blackish subcostal and marks near the base. Two prominent black discal blotches: first before the middle of the wing, transverse-oval, sometimes broken into two parts; second at the end of the , inverted-triangular. Both blotches slightly edged with whitish or brownish. Small suffused white spot on at three-fourths, sometimes nearly obsolete. Hindwings grey to light grey.
