Holcocera chalcofrontella is a small in the Blastobasidae, commonly known as the Sumac Micromoth. It occurs across much of North America from southern Canada to the southern United States. The larvae feed on seeds of sumac (Rhus ) and chestnut burrs. The species was first described by James Brackenridge Clemens in 1863.
