Symmoca is a of small in the Autostichidae, Symmocinae. The genus contains over 80 described distributed primarily across the Palearctic region, with particular diversity in the Mediterranean basin, North Africa, and the Middle East. Many species were described by the Hungarian lepidopterist László Gozmány in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
