Gerdana caritella is a small and the sole member of the Gerdana in the Autostichidae. It is to eastern North America, with records from southeastern Canada and the eastern United States. The species was described by August Busck in 1908. Despite being frequently observed on iNaturalist, published biological information remains limited.
