Tridentaforma

Davis, 1978

Tridentaforma is a of micromoths constituting the sole genus of the Tridentaformidae. It was historically classified within and , but molecular studies led to its elevation to a distinct family in 2015. The genus currently contains two described : T. fuscoleuca from California and western Canada, and T. browncopper from south-central British Columbia. Both are small with wingspans under 21 mm.

Habitat

Grassy clearings within Douglas fir-dominated forest (Pseudotsuga menziesii). Specimens collected at undisturbed reference sites; few occurrences from reclaimed waste-rock sites, tailings ponds, and fire-affected areas. information based on T. browncopper; T. fuscoleuca habitat requirements poorly documented.
