Xanthocampsomeris is a New World of scoliid wasps ( Scoliidae) comprising five . Formerly treated as a subgenus of Campsomeris, it was elevated to generic status by Bradley in 1957. These are found from the southern United States through the West Indies to Colombia.

Identification

Distinguished from related scoliid by the combination of: yellow markings restricted to 3-4 abdominal tergites (not more extensive), red coloration at the abdominal apex, reddish legs with contrasting white hind tibial spurs, and subhyaline wings with yellow venation. Formerly classified within Campsomeris, from which it was separated based on these morphological features.
