Metopius krombeini

Metopius krombeini is a species of ichneumon wasp in the family Ichneumonidae, described by Townes & Townes in 1959. The genus Metopius belongs to the ichneumonoid wasps, a diverse group of parasitoid insects. As with other members of Metopius, this species likely exhibits the characteristic robust body form and reduced wing venation typical of the genus. The species is rarely documented, with only two observations recorded on iNaturalist.
