Scorpioteleia is a of small in the Diapriidae, first described by William Harris Ashmead in 1897. As members of Diapriidae, these wasps are likely associated with decaying organic matter where their develop. The genus name references a -like appearance, presumably due to the curved metasoma characteristic of some diapriid females. Very few observations exist, with only seven records on iNaturalist as of the source date.
