Pygolampis is a of assassin bugs (Reduviidae: Stenopodainae) containing more than 90 described worldwide. The genus is taxonomically diverse with species recorded across Asia, including Vietnam, Japan, and Indonesia. Many species remain poorly known; for example, Pygolampis striata was described from a single male specimen in 1940 and not re-collected until 2021.
