Aplanus

Aplanus is a genus of leafhoppers (family Cicadellidae) in the tribe Platymetopiini, described by Oman in 1949. It belongs to the subfamily Deltocephalinae, one of the largest and most diverse groups of leafhoppers. The genus is poorly documented in scientific literature, with minimal published information on its biology, morphology, and species composition. Records indicate very few observations, suggesting it is either rare, cryptic, or understudied.
